Description
Uttarakhand is a state in North India blessed with natural beauty, astounding mountains, rough terrains, quaint villages, and hidden hill stations. Known as “The Land of Gods,” Uttarakhand truly justifies its name tag with its spiritual aura and heavenly landscapes.
We’ll be starting this 6 nights and 7 days tour from one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage cities in India-Haridwar, and then continuing on to Chopta.
The next morning will be an adventurous one, as we head out for a trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The highlights of this trek include magnificent views of Mt. Chaukhamba, the revered Tungnath Temple (the world’s highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva), and the scenic Deoriatal Lake.
The trek begins from a small village named Sari, located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, at a height of 6,601 feet, and ends at Chopt, a serene hamlet and the gateway to Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila Peak (3,998 meters). The Auli Chopta tour package is especially popular among nature lovers and trekkers. The difficulty level of this trek is easy and is recommended for both novice and experienced trekkers.
The following day, we continue our next destination, Joshimath, situated in the Chamoli district at an altitude of 6,150 feet. It’s a hub for adventure activities like trekking, mountain climbing, and expeditions. From the cozy stays in Joshimath, another adventure awaits, Auli.
Auli, a Himalayan ski resort, is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests, with sweeping views of Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat mountains. The Auli Chopta tour packages often include a ride on one of Asia’s longest cable cars connecting Joshimath and Auli.
Though Auli is famous for skiing, it also offers thrilling treks, road trips, and some of the most stunning sunsets and sunrises in Uttarakhand. If you’re looking for breathtaking alpine scenery, Auli is a must-visit.
Our journey then takes us to Kanatal, a hidden gem ideal for those who seek peace and nature. The Kanatal tour package is perfect for a detox getaway- no crowds, no chaos, just pure Himalayan serenity.
Kanatal is surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, it is located at an elevation of 2,590 meters (8,500 feet), While it doesn’t boast an array of adventure sports like Rishikesh, camping in Kanatal is considered the second-best in India after Rishikesh, offering a unique experience of stargazing and bonfire evenings.
The Kanatal to Auli distance is approximately 220 kilometers, making it a perfect scenic drive that connects two vastly different yet equally beautiful parts of Uttarakhand.
One of the spiritual highlights here is the Mata Sukandari Devi Temple, which holds a mystical legend. It’s believed that after Sati committed self-immolation, Lord Shiva brought her disjointed head to a lake near the Kanatal Valley—adding a spiritual touch to this tranquil escape.
After some fun-filled moments at the Kanatal campsite, we head to our final destination – Mussoorie.
Mussoorie, a beloved hill station in the Garhwal Himalayas, greets you with misty roads and colonial charm. Once you arrive in the evening, take a stroll down Mall Road, the city’s most happening spot for shopping and local cuisine.
The next day, explore the iconic Kempty Falls, a 40-foot waterfall nestled among green hills. You can walk down or opt for a cable car ride for a scenic experience. A short walk takes you to a bridge that offers the best view of the gushing waters.
Don’t miss Laal Tibba, a panoramic viewpoint that offers unmatched views of Himalayan peaks like Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Bandarpunch. The British-era architecture in this area also adds a quaint, vintage vibe to your trip.
Whether you’re a spiritual seeker, nature lover, or adventure enthusiast, this Auli Chopta Kanatal tour package weaves together the best of Uttarakhand in one unforgettable journey.
